Abyss of flowers is a study into the infinite. There's a feeling of expansion and floating when I go deeper into these paintings, but the work and the process is grounded to the floor, almost like a dance. The movements are circular so in a way following the larger lines of a universal flow and the cycle of life. I wanted to work with a larger scale to get the sense that you as the viewer are stepping into the painting and seeing into the flowers in such a close up that it forces you to go beyond the physical and it becomes an expansion of your senses. The diptychs and triptychs is a way of managing space and scale. 

Using gravity as a force is the closest I can get to a raw expression of that moment
